PARAPENTE

In summer the skiies above Morzine and Les Gets are buzzing with Parapentes. Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn to parapente, a seasoned proffessional or if you just want to experience flight, with a proffessional at the controls, with a tandem flight. There is something for everyone!!!

BEGINNERS COURSES - LEARN TO FLY QUALIFICATION

If you have always wanted to learn to fly, then what better place to learn than in Morzine, where you will get to see Mont Blanc whilst floating in the skies above Morzine!!! For the month of June, one of the local schools is offering a beginner learn to fly course with 5 full days of instruction, for only €470 (approx £350), this includes, the instuction, the use of a canopy, your insurance. You will learn the basics of taking off, landing etc and then have a solo flights under full instruction all for only €470 (approx £350),

TANDEM FLIGHTS

Experience this thrilling sport by fling in tandem with a professional at the controls! With several different starting off locations and landing points in the area, you can choose what flight you want, maybe you wan to see different things or maybe experience an exiciting 4x4 off road drive up to the top of the mountain before you fly off!!!

• Morzine - a minibus will take you up the road to Avoriaz, you take off from supermorzine - with a flight lasting from 10 to 30 mins you will be able to view Morzine from the skies as well as the mountain ranges and down Lac Geneva
• Les Gets - Take the cable car up to the top of the mountain and then fly over les gets.
• Grand Terche - with a 4 x 4 ride in a jeep to the top of the mountain first, you then fly down into St Jean D'Aups

Paragliding is subject to weather conditons. For a tandem flight or the begionners course, there is no need for previous experience.

VIA FERETTA

This is a cross between hiking and mountaineering, the courses are fitted with metal rungs ladders, bridges and cables. Wearing a harness, you attatch yourself to the cable, and make your way around the course.
Inexperienced climbers should take guides on these paths and special equipment is necessary, but we can arrange this for you!

There are several Via ferrata corses in the Haute-Savoie :

• La Clusaz, Falaises de Borderan : 650 m long
• Le Grand Bornand,
• La Tour du Jalouvre: long way 1100 m, 5-6 hours / short way : 650 m, 2-3 heures
• Saint Gervais
• Megève

There are also the following exciting activities to try:-

Mountain Boarding, Fantasticable, Helicopter rides, Hot Air Ballooning, Bungee jumping, Beauty Salon, Swimming Lakes and Pools, Ice Skating and Tennis.

Cascade Adventure

There are two adventure parks situated in the trees which lie alongside the River Dranse in Morzine. There are natural circuits made of ladders, swing bridges and various other zip wires, you are supplied with a harness and karabiners and attached to a safety wire and then you can move safely from tree to tree accompanied by a guide.

Pony Trekking

This is a wonderful way to explore the countryside. On arrival, you are issued with a helmet and introduced to your guides for the day. On a half-day trek you ride a circular trail which takes approximately 2 hours, over beautiful countryside.
